PARTS LIST:
The Nashbar Nashguard is offered in three sizes, be sure you have the correct size before proceeding.
NS-BG-110: 110mm bolt circle for 5 bolt cranksets
NS-BG-94: 94mm bolt circle for 5 bolt cranksets
NS-BG-104: 104mm bolt circle for 4 bolt cranksets

INSTALLATION
1) Remove the chain or position it away from the chainrings.
2) Use the correct size hex wrench and a chainring bolt tool to remove chainring bolts that are securing the largest two chainrings,
3) Remove the largest two chainrings and set them aside.
4) Place the Nashguard on the outside of the crankset. The Nashguard Nashbar Bash Guard Installation  should be positioned in the same spot where the largest chainring was previously located. NOTE: To achieve proper fit in some applications, it may be necessary to use sandpsper, a rotary grinding tool to remove up to 2mm of material from the flat inner walls of the Nashguard Bash Guard . The fiat inner walls are directly adjacent to the chainring bolt holes. It is important that each of the flat inner walls has the correct fit where they meet the spider of the crankset. (see figure one) Proper fit should be snug with no free play on the crankset. A snug fit between the flat inner wails of the Nashguard and the crankset's spider will reduce the possibility of sheer forces damaging the chainring bolts when the Nashgaurd Bash Guard is impacted during riding
Once proper fit has been achieved, set the Nashguard Bash Guard aside and place the middle chainring back on the middle of the crankset. Then place the properly fitted Nashguard on the outer position of the crankset.

Install each of the chainring bolts, checking for proper fit and alignment of all parts.
Torque the chainring bolts to the torque value recommended by the crankset manufacturer.
Check for proper fit and alignment of all parts. Check carefully to determine that all components and fasteners are correctly installed.
i) Install the chain. It may be necessary to adjust the length of the chain, since the bike no longer has the ability to shift into the "big" chain ring
0) Adjust the front derailleur's limit screw to prevent it from shifting the chain into the outer position that is now occupied
by the Nashguard Bash Guard .
1) Ride carefully in a flat area away from cars and obstacles to familiarize yourself with your bicycle's new drivetrain setup.
